Skipper Gary, also the Engineer and Problem Solver onboard Sandpiper.
Gary is a Contracts Manager with extensive experience in both construction and the nuclear sectors. He is also a qualified joiner and these skills have served us well when taking on the project of preparing and maintaining our yacht.
Hobbies, Photography - His photography skills are way better than mine and thankfully he sometime lets me share them on the Fearless Feat Sailing (FFS) blog. Research and continuous improvement also seem to be a hobby of Garys. Never a day goes by that he is not reading something or watching YouTube in a bid to be more knowledgeable about everything and anything. Often this fountain of knowledge has got us & others out of a tight spot so I am not complaining.

I am a qualified Trainer and Coach with a specialism in personal development and leadership. Not even our nomadic lifestyle has stopped me from supporting others in their search for personal achievement. Zoom is this girls best friend!
Hobbies- Also photography, I like to dabble in photography and tell stories through the lens. I mostly use my phone but sometimes I capture moments on a grown up camera. I love to write our FFS Blog as a way of sharing our insane adventure. I hope to inspire people to believe in themselves and to do things they may have never considered possible. I talk about getting it wrong sometimes as well as getting it right. It is not all about sailing, more about a woman learning as she goes and that sweet feeling of freedom!
Sandpiper of St Helier is our 1985 Sigma 36. Here she is in some beautiful marinas and anchorages around the UK. Whilst we have not been everywhere yet it is on the list.

Sandpiper has undergone many upgrades over the last 4 years and every one has paid dividends in our independent and nomadic lifestyle. None more appreciated than having our electricity supplied by the sun.
What's our favorite thing about cruising?
Thats simple, It’s a wonderful feeling, and highly addictive. When Sandpiper caresses the open sea and whispers to the dolphins playing in her bow wave, our minds experience nothing but deep pleasure.
